Papers, 1959-1970.

Although he was elected to the State House in 1962, the Leroy S. Miller papers include very little material relating to his first two-year term. The bulk of his papers, however, include correspondence, research material, newspaper clippings, and weekly news releases concerning Miller's last six years in the legislature. The correspondence, arranged topically rather than chronologically, serves as a source for Representative Miller's views on the issues. In part, the research materials are compilations of data, legislative bills and general information. The newspaper clippings include material sent by his colleagues, his constituents, or saved by his staff. Miller's weekly news releases are summarizations of his views printed in his constituents' newspapers concerning the State Legislature, the legislative issues of the week, and his stands on those issues.
